Real Madrid Secure 3-0 Victory Over Leganes to Climb to Second in La Liga

Real Madrid moved up to second place in the La Liga standings with a 3-0 win over Leganes at Estadio Municipal de Butarque. Goals from Kylian Mbappe, Federico Valverde, and Jude Bellingham helped Carlo Ancelotti’s team leapfrog Atletico Madrid. With this win, Real Madrid now have 30 points, just four points behind league leaders Barcelona, who were held to a 2-2 draw at Celta Vigo on Saturday. Notably, Real Madrid have played one fewer game than Barcelona.
The match saw Real Madrid capitalizing on Barcelona's earlier slip-up, reducing the gap at the top of the table. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring, followed by contributions from Valverde and Bellingham.
Ancelotti once again fielded Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and Mbappe, and it paid off as Vinicius and Mbappe combined effectively for the first goal.
Real Madrid's decisive victory at Leganes not only tightened the race for the La Liga title but also reaffirmed their strong form as they continue to challenge Barcelona for the top spot.
