Thailand Reach Asean Final After Extra-Time Thriller
Thailand secured their place in the final of the Asean Championship after a dramatic extra-time victory over the Philippines at the Rajamangala Stadium on Monday.

Trailing 2-1 from the first leg, Thailand needed to overturn the deficit and they did so in thrilling fashion. Peeradon Chamratsamee put the hosts ahead on the night in the 37th minute, and Patrik Gustavsson gave them the aggregate lead early in the second half.

However, the Philippines refused to lie down and Bjorn Kristensen's stunning long-range strike in the 84th minute sent the game into extra time.

With penalties looming, substitute Suphanat Mueanta emerged as the hero, heading home the winning goal in the 116th minute to secure a 4-3 aggregate victory for the defending champions.

Thailand will now face Vietnam in the final, a repeat of the 2022 decider which Thailand won 3-2 on aggregate.
