In a stunning upset, the Philippines defeated defending champions Thailand 2-1 in the first leg of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup™ 2024 semi-final. Sandro Reyes' early goal was canceled out by Suphanan Bureerat, but Enrique Linares' 95th-minute header secured a dramatic victory for the home side.
The second leg of the semifinal will take place at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok three days later.
