Nervous Bayern Munich Edge Heidenheim 4-2 Thanks to Musiala's Late Brace

Bayern Munich secured a tense 4-2 victory over Heidenheim on Saturday, with substitute Jamal Musiala scoring two crucial second-half goals. The win keeps Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga, maintaining their unbeaten record in the league this season.

Missing key players such as Harry Kane, Manuel Neuer, and Serge Gnabry due to injury, Bayern aimed to bounce back from their recent German Cup defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. They started strong, taking the lead in the 18th minute when an unmarked Dayot Upamecano headed the ball into the net.

Heidenheim, desperate for points after suffering six defeats in their last seven league matches, struggled to make an impact in the first half. However, they capitalized on a defensive error by Upamecano in the 50th minute, allowing Mathias Honsak to score with their first chance of the match.

Bayern responded promptly, with Musiala drilling a shot from just inside the box five minutes later to restore their lead. Leon Goretzka then added a third goal in the 84th minute with a deflected shot. Heidenheim managed to pull one back quickly, as Niclas Doresch tapped in from close range.


Musiala sealed the victory for Bayern with a solo effort in stoppage time, marking his eighth league goal of the campaign and settling the nerves of the home crowd.

With this win, Bayern Munich remains undefeated in the Bundesliga, sitting atop the table with 33 points as they prepare for their upcoming Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk.
