Romano: Napoli to Trigger Højlund Buy Option, Paying Total of €50 Million

March 14 – Fabrizio Romano reports that Napoli will trigger the buy option for Rasmus Højlund, signing the striker from Manchester United for approximately €44 million, with the transfer set to be finalized imminently.
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna stated unequivocally in an interview: "There is no doubt that Højlund will stay here. There is a clause in our contract with Manchester United that if the team qualifies for next season's Champions League, we must buy him – but even if that condition isn't met, he is in our plans."
It is worth noting that last summer, Napoli paid a €6 million loan fee for Højlund. Combined with the triggered €44 million buy option, Manchester United will receive total transfer revenue of approximately **€50 million** from this deal.
