January 30 – In the final round of the Champions League group stage, Benfica defeated Real Madrid 4-2, thanks to goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin's last-minute goal, which secured Benfica's narrow qualification for the playoffs on goal difference.

According to statistics from Squawka, Trubin has also become the only goalkeeper to score in this season's Champions League so far.
