Persik Kediri Dominates Borneo FC with a 4-0 Victory, Ending the First Round on a High Note

Persik Kediri capped off the first round of Liga 1 Indonesia with a dominant 4-0 victory over Borneo FC. Goals from Ronaldo Rodrigues, Rifqi Ray, Yusuf Meilana, and Riyatno Abiyoso sealed the deal for Persik, who climbed to sixth place in the standings with 27 points.
Borneo FC's hopes were dashed early on when midfielder Kei Hirose was sent off in the 19th minute. Despite enjoying 59% possession and registering 19 shots, Borneo FC failed to capitalize on their dominance, while Persik proved clinical in their finishing.
Week 18 of the Indonesian Liga 1 will see Persik Kediri face a tough challenge against Bali United on Sunday, January 12th. Meanwhile, Borneo FC will be looking to bounce back from a recent loss when they host Semen Padang on Tuesday, January 14th.
