NBA Fines Anthony Edwards for Comments

The NBA has fined Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards $75,000 for his postgame remarks following the team's 113-103 loss to the Golden State Warriors on December 21, 2024. Edwards was penalized for using "inappropriate and profane language" during his media session.
This marks the second time in two weeks that Edwards has faced financial repercussions for his comments. He was previously fined $25,000 on December 9 for similar language after a victory over the Warriors.
Despite these fines, Edwards continues to lead the Timberwolves this season, averaging 25.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and four assists per game.
