Southampton part ways with manager Russell Martin.

Southampton have sacked manager Russell Martin after a disastrous start to the Premier League season. The Saints suffered a humiliating 5-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, their 13th loss in 16 league games.
Martin, who led Southampton to promotion from the Championship last season, has been unable to replicate that success in the top flight. The club's poor performances and lack of goals have led to increasing pressure on the manager, culminating in his dismissal.
Southampton are currently bottom of the Premier League table, nine points adrift of safety. The club will now be looking for a new manager to turn their fortunes around and avoid relegation.
