"[Wojciech] Szczesny told me the only club he would come out of retirement for is Barcelona," Robert Lewandowski has told Meczyki.

"When a new player arrives, you have to show him around the club. The same goes for Wojciech, but with his experience and approach to life, he will settle in very quickly way," the Pole added.

Earlier, Szczesny himself said Lewandowski had played a big role in his decision to come out of retirement and join Barcelona as a free agent.

Wojciech Szczesny announced his retirement from football last summer after making 35 appearances for Juventus last season, conceding 30 goals and keeping 15 clean sheets in Serie A. The shotstopper also played for Arsenal, Roma and Brentford in his career.
