Ángel Di María on retiring from Argentina team: “Now I am just another fan”

Ángel Di María spoke prior to Argentina’s 3-0 win vs. Chile in the South American World Cup qualifiers about his retirement from the national team.
Di María was at El Monumental with his fmaily for the match. Speaking before the game, here is what he had to say:
“I have a lot of feelings inside. It is difficult to talk. I want to thank all the people who work in AFA. I spent 16 years with them. I lived through difficult things and I ended up happy alongside them.

“Now I am just another fan. Now I will be up there with my family. I will continue to be at Copa America, World Cups and supporting them.”
