Rio Ferdinand says two Liverpool players 'cheated' against Man Utd after drubbing
Rio Ferdinand has praised Arne Slot's tactical nous, saying it allowed Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz to "cheat" against Manchester United, contributing to a 3-0 triumph at Old Trafford.
The Reds' victory on Sunday was a testament to Slot's successful strategy in his first clash with the Red Devils. Diaz netted a brace in the opening half, with Salah providing the assist for his second, while Salah himself scored after the break with a neat left-footed finish past Andre Onana.

Casemiro faced criticism for his role in the defeat, as he lost the ball to Ryan Gravenberch leading to Liverpool's first goal and was picked off by Diaz for the second. Yet, Ferdinand pointed out on his 'Rio Presents' show, joined by Owen Hargreaves and Joel Beya, that Slot's instructions for Salah and Diaz to exploit opportunities were crucial to Liverpool's dominance.

The former England defender noted how their advanced positioning allowed them to regain possession high up the field and surge towards goal upon dispossessing United, which they successfully did for two goals.
